On Sunday, July 9th, Calvary Baptist Church in Indianola held an important event – the pastor ordination service for Pastor Alex Pietsch. We rejoice with local churches whenever new leaders step up, and we are particularly grateful for those called by God to serve as pastors in our state.
Pastor Alex Pietsch’s journey began at Crossroads Community Church in Grimes, under the leadership of Pastor Jason Friesen. He pursued theological education and graduated from Bible college at Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri. Pastor John Jakes at Calvary Baptist Indianola presided over the ordination council and service. With the Charge to the Candidate delivered by Pastor Eugene Guthrie, recently retired from Crestwood Church in Des Moines, and the Charge to the Church by Pastor Jason Friesen, Pastor Alex has been officially ordained.
Pastor Alex will serve as the Associate Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church, an essential support role in Bible teaching and pastoral care of the congregation. His ordination marks a significant milestone that emphasizes the calling that God has placed upon his life.
We are blessed to witness the effective partnership of so many churches within the Baptist Convention of Iowa. We celebrate with Calvary Baptist and pray that God will use Pastor Alex as he faithfully serves the church and community, spreading the transformative message of the gospel.
