The month of March is always interesting for us because with 4 different schools, the spring breaks fall on different weeks. This makes planning for March difficult but we enjoy the challenge and try to make the best for the students that are around.
In March, a lot of our focus goes towards new leader applications. We were able to host a leaders meeting where each of our current leaders were asked to invite one of their connection group people that they hoped would apply for leadership. It was fun for those students to get to witness a leaders meeting and what that entails. We got to cast the purpose of leadership to them and explain why we think its beneficial. We are praying for at least 20 students to apply.
We also have been meeting with our current leaders to talk through how this year of leadership has been for them. Our goal is always to process through if leadership is helping them love Jesus more. If it isn’t, we want to remove it from their plate. This has been fun to be encouraged by ways God is moving in these students as well as challenge them in areas that are needed. They have been awesome, gospel-fueled conversations!
