It is with both peace and sadness that we share the news of the passing of Ed Gregory, a beloved member of the Baptist Convention of Iowa family. Ed passed peacefully just after midnight on Monday, January 27th, 2025.
Ed’s life was marked by faithful service to the Lord and a deep love for people. Over decades of ministry, including more than 15 years of service with BCI, he provided steadfast leadership, encouragement, and wisdom to countless pastors, churches, and ministry leaders. His legacy of humility, compassion, and servant leadership has left a profound impact on all who knew him.
Funeral Service Information
We invite all who were touched by Ed’s life and ministry to join in honoring him:
- Date: Saturday, February 8, 2025
- Location: Immanuel Baptist Church, 1900 F Ave NW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa
- Visitation: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Service: 12:00 PM, followed by a meal
As we grieve the loss of our dear brother, we also rejoice in the hope we have in Christ and the promise of eternal life. Please continue to pray for Ed’s wife, Cynthia, their children, grandchildren, and all who are mourning during this time.
