Intentionally deepening relationships with one another and with God is at the heart of what we do at Restoration Church. We want to have significant interaction among our church family and amongst our neighborhoods. What better way to deepen relationships than a pool party? Restoration Church rented out the local aquatic center for an evening of swimming and fellowship. We encouraged all our church members to come to the local aquatic center and invite one or two other families to join them.

A pool party provides an easy invitation to extend to neighbors and family friends, encouraging our church family to participate in a comfortable evangelistic outreach while offering a desirable location for the friends and neighbors. Our church pool party was a huge success. We had a total of 75 people come, which included six family units outside of our church family. As the kids’ director at our church, my heart was full as I watched families playing together in the pool, adults interacting with teenagers, and people meeting new acquaintances and old friends. We had people in the pool from ages four months to 80 years laughing and enjoying one another’s company. It was a night filled with intentional relationship building while honoring God by loving our neighbor.
