Iowa Campers on Mission began in the 1990s when a group of Iowa believers with a love for camping and a heart for serving the Lord came together. Since then, #IowaCOM has partnered with churches and ministries across the state—coming alongside them to help with building projects, maintenance, and other ministry needs.

As part of the National Campers on Mission organization, our purpose remains the same: “Sharing Christ As We Go.” Whether we are at home, on the road, or at a project site, our mission is to live out and share the love of Christ wherever we go.

Looking Back on 2025

As our 2025 work year concludes, we are humbled and grateful for all that the Lord has accomplished through willing hands and faithful hearts. Here’s a look at some of the projects completed this year:

● Centerville Baptist Fellowship Church – Worship space addition completed

● New Life Fellowship Church, Knoxville – Painting and beautification projects

● The Great Passion Play, Eureka Springs, AR – Assisted with set preparations for the season

● Brick House, Davenport – Exterior painting

● Twin Lakes Camp – Siding, electrical, and camp preparation work

● Solid Rock Baptist Church, Wapello – Lighting upgrades to energy-efficient LED

● Shiloh Baptist Church, Waterloo – Door replacement and railing installation

Looking Ahead to 2026

We are excited to announce that #IowaCOM will host the National Campers on Mission Rally for the first time ever!

Our 2026 theme is: “Live Out Hebrews 11:6 in 2026”

Faith is in every part of our journey.

● Faith as We Go to Projects – God prepares the way, keeping us safe and opening doors for ministry.

● Faith During the Project – Every nail driven, every meal served, every prayer offered is part of God’s eternal plan.

● Faith as We Return Home – We leave behind seeds of faith, trusting God to water and grow what was planted.

● Faith for Churches and Camps – We believe the ministries we serve will continue to thrive and reach others for Christ long after we’re gone.
