The first weekend in February students that are a part of the Salt Network at colleges across the Midwest gathered for the Spring Conference. Over 2300 college students from around the country came together to worship the name of Jesus and hear incredible teaching from his word in Des Moines.
Jenny Calsyn, Salt Company Coordinator in Cedar Falls, shared that many students were energized to serve the community around them, while others were challenged in their faith. “It’s so fun to have our students come back so excited to share the gospel with others motivated by what they have heard and seen from students in other Salt Companies all across the nation,” she says. “We are excited to see what the momentum of the conference does for our ministry over the rest of the semester.”
Dakota Jackson, Salt Company Resident Des Moines, noted that many students had fresh eyes for the gospel and were eager to go back to their campuses and their jobs to share that good news with those around them. “t was such a great time of community building and faith deepening. Our leaders did a bunch of leg work in getting their group members to apply and show up and Jesus did the rest.”
Luke Peterson, Salt Coordinator Iowa City stated, “God moved in some unbelievable ways and we are continuing to see the fruit from this conference today.”
