Spring semester always starts a little slow because of J-term at Drake, but at the same time there is so much anticipation for the Salt Company Conference in February! Once again the conference was held in Des Moines, which is a huge blessing for us, and this year we had over 3000 students from all across the country come together to celebrate Jesus and hear from his word, 61 of whom were from Salt DSM! God is doing big things all over the country through Salt Company on many different campuses! We feel so blessed to be a part of the incredible things God is up to!
The Salt Conference is so great not only because of the huge gathering of people, but also because of the impact that it has on the lives of individuals. There have been so many great conversations that we have been able to have with students who were there. But the main point that we continue to hear from student after student is that they finally understand what it means to surrender everything to Jesus!
These students are seeing clearly that Jesus deserves to be the Lord of their whole lives, not just their Sunday mornings and Thursday nights! Please pray that the clarity and zeal that our students have gotten from the conference takes root in their souls and has a long lasting impact.
