Several students participated in a spring break mission trip to San Diego. God allowed then to serve the neighborhood they were staying in. They painted the wall in the photo to cover some graffiti. The students also served in a transitional living center, hosted a kids club everyday, and helped an organization that serves refugee families. The attitude of service that the students gained during this trip has carried over to their university.
Two projects during the trip that really stood out to those who went. The first was the amount of fun they had doing the kids club and how they grew to really love the kids. The other was helping out with a church service for mentally and physically handicapped people. The amount of joy and passion for God that these people have is amazing! The students got a chance to see what it is like serving together and are already thinking of how they can serve again next year.
