Trevin Wax, VP for Resources & Marketing

How do we faithfully share the gospel with people who increasingly have little connection to Christianity or the assumptions that have shaped our culture for generations?
That question will be at the heart of the 2026 BCI Ministry Conference & Annual Meeting, as we welcome Trevin Wax, Vice President for Resources and Marketing at the North American Mission Board, as our special guest.
The 2026 Theme – Evangelism & Apologetics in a Secular Age
Our theme this year is “Evangelism & Apologetics in a Secular Age.” Throughout the conference, Trevin will challenge us to think carefully about the cultural moment we are living in and equip us to engage our church members and our cities with the gospel.
Trevin is the author of many popular books, including This Is Our Time: Everyday Myths in Light of the Gospel, which explores how Christians can faithfully live and speak in a culture shaped by competing stories and beliefs.
His teaching throughout the conference will give us both a broader framework for understanding our culture and practical tools for ministry. On Friday, he’ll address “Cultural Apologetics and Counter-Catechesis: Tools for Evangelism in a Secular Age,” lead a breakout on “Praying Above Yourself,” and bring the Ministry Banquet message from Hebrews 12, “This Is Our Time.” On Saturday morning, he’ll preach from John 5 during our Annual Meeting.
More than simply giving us information, we hope Trevin’s teaching will challenge our thinking, sharpen our understanding, and help us engage the people God has placed around us with greater faithfulness and confidence.
